I have met in 28 years in this region only one 'CITIZEN'
A middle aged man at a Kington town council meeting...
He diligently recorded and saved and catalogued every dodgy meeting of that load of cowgirls..and boys
Ten years every moment i am on 'environmental' duty... i also record everything.
The actual story is whatever is the opposite of solidarity...required, over time to collect in groups of citizens and easily hold to account all he shennanigans..and polluters...
Never mind no solidarity (so many promises it is only a comedy - he combo of their words SAID and emails too) ...no guts to actually go and build bridges with polluting farmers up river..
far far much easier (and glorifying on their Facebooks) to get the BBC to do a piece on you.... and less risk. All the OXYGEN and sunlight of necessary media leverage they....stole... up there at The Lodge... and all over - these riversthe most media 'covered' in history....
Bu did so so little... that coverage in places with actual citizens - maybe up North or even SW may have had real benefit as he pollution destroys oxygen and other necessities...for life.
But no one ever did the citizenly thing of forging real groups of real people not needing MEEdia to actually take a real stand... and even find real cooperation with the polluters - who of course will duff you up if they see only one fool on his hill naming a few of them...
three of four...maybe not. Bullies have been around since pre biblical times.. he solutions are always simple... strength in numbers...always...
That is the trues story... even if it hurts, the luvvies, and their house prices...
And of course the closer one gets to Luvvie Cenral.. the fiercer and more dangerous the apocalyptic disingenuity
